My fascination with wood began very early in my life. As a little boy I began to cut wood into shapes and join pieces together. My first project was a small table. Thus, I began to develop a passion for woodworking. I used to run a paper route and cut my neighbors grass so that I could buy tools. I remember that I had found a used bandsaw in the local newspaper (this was before the advent of social media). My dad took me to look at it and when the gentleman selling the bandsaw realized that it was for me…he decided not to take my money. He gave it to me as a gift. I suppose it was his way of encouraging a youngster to pursue his craft. 40 years later and…I still feel gratitude for that gentleman.

As an adult, I still have that original passion for woodworking. I find the design process to be very stimulating and enjoyable. To be able to conjure up in my mind the idea of something and to then design it, draw it up and make it is…well…tremendously rewarding.

It gives me great satisfaction knowing that my pieces have become a part of so many peoples homes and lives.
